ACM ICAIF 2026 Workshop

Structuring the Unstructured: AI in Private Markets

November 15, 2026 Milan, Italy

About the Workshop

This workshop focuses on emerging Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications across the private markets ecosystem, including private equity, private credit, venture capital, real assets and other alternative investments.

The workshop will bring together researchers, practitioners, asset managers, allocators, data providers, and technology experts to discuss how machine learning, large language models, agentic AI, and emerging technologies can transform investment decision-making — including bringing speed, transparency and better accountability around sourcing, diligence, valuations, liquidity and risk management and operational decision-making in private markets.

Private markets are a growing area for AI in finance, but limited disclosure, inconsistent reporting, sparse transactions, and stale valuations make them difficult to analyze. Unlike many financial machine learning settings, private markets have incomplete data, scarce labels, and outcomes that may take years to observe. AI systems must combine varied evidence, track sources, quantify uncertainty, and support human judgment.
